NCEF programs are designed to close the academic and social gaps for today's school-aged children in grades PK-12 by reducing the risk of dropouts and creating opportunities for success!
The National Character Education Foundation, NCEF, was founded in 2003 and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to provide effective services to schools that will educate our children, families, and the surrounding community. By recognizing and promoting the benefits of good character, NCEF is building personal integrity, respect, and courage amongst today's youth at a time when young people face a host of obstacles.
Programs are designed to stimulate critical thinking, build moral values and self-esteem, while developing the skill of sound decision making. Since its inception in 2003, NCEF has educated and inspired an average of 300,000 students per year in over 25 other states. NCEF programs are designed to close the academic and social gaps for today's school-aged children by reducing the risk of dropouts and creating opportunities for success! Institute anti-bullying, substance abuse prevention, teen suicide prevention, character building and work skills development to create suitable candidates for the work force.
Our programs are divided into two formats, assemblies and curriculum. The assemblies allow dynamic speakers, "All Pro Action Team" to educate, entertain, and motivate our students, reaching them at their own level with an unforgettable message that will challenge and inspire them on the importance of having uncompromising character. We have several curricula based programs that are designed for students of all ages that meet PA State Academic standards and are approved by the PA Dept. of Education. Independent research studies by Highmark and the University of Pittsburgh has shown that schools that implemented our program have seen student honor rolls increased by 39%, completed homework increased by 51%, and student detention/suspension decreased by 22.5%. The benefits extend beyond the students themselves to directly impact families, communities, the workforce, and society at large.
