The 2010 PA Conference on Character Education
The National Character Education Foundation (NCEF) hosted the PA Conference on Character Education on March 3-4, 2010. This day-and-a-half conference was held at the Four Points by Sheraton, Pittsburgh North, Mars, PA. We'd like to thank all those who attended, those who spoke, and all who worked to make the event a big success. Thank you!

PURPOSE
The Pennsylvania Conference on Character Education is designed to be informative, action-packed, entertaining, and geared toward assisting educators in their efforts to instill behavioral and academic excellence in today's shool-aged children.

Master of Ceremonies:
• Tom McGough is a former pitcher for the Cleveland Indians and the producer and director of the nationally sydicated radio show "Street Level" as well as the award-winning telecast "SPORTSWEEK".
Conference Keynote Speakers:
- Bill Sanders is a nationally known motivational speaker, contributuing author for the Chicken Soup for the Soul series, and creator of Rachel's Challenge based on the Rachel Scott Story following the Columbine tragedy.
How Educators Can Be Effective Life Changers
- Paul Smiley, retired Assistant Principal / Athletic Director for Kentucky School of the Deaf, once featured on the cover of TIME Magazine, motivational speaker.
Character Education in After-School Programming
- Tom "Terrific" Schenck is America's Superhero Coach and Inspirational Villain Crusher. One of the original actors to play Spider-Man for Marvel Comics, Tom is a nationally acclaimed wellness performance expert, author, and founder of Superhero Group Cousulting.
